About the department

The department of physics was established in 1962 and named after the great scientist C.V RAMAN who won the noble prize in physics for Raman effect in 1930.Physics department is a part of the three star science wing of the college which includes the botany, zoology, chemistry departments as well .It is a departmental which is proud of its achievements as far as progression of the faculty and students is concerned. It is quite active and continuous in holding workshops, seminars, debates, discussions, and events etc. which are held not only at college level but at national and international level as well.

SOFTWARE USING IN LAB

Electronic circuit simulation uses mathematical models to replicate the behaviour of an actual electronic device or circuit. Simulation software allows for modelling of circuit operation and is an invaluable analysis tool. Due to its highly accurate modelling capability, many Colleges and Universities use this type of software for the teaching of electronics technician and electronics engineering programs. Electronics simulation software engages the user by integrating them into the learning experience.Simulating a circuitís behaviour before actually building it can greatly improve design efficiency by making faulty designs known as such, and providing insight into the behaviour of electronics circuit designs. In particular, for integrated circuits, the tooling (photo masks) is expensive, breadboards are impractical, and probing the behaviour of internal signals is extremely difficult. NI Multisim (formerly MultiSIM) is an electronic schematic capture and simulation program which is part of a suite of circuit design programs, along with NI Ultiboard. Multisim includes microcontroller simulation (formerly known as MultiMCU), as well as integrated import and export features to the Printed Circuit Board layout software in the suite, NI Ultiboard.Multisim is widely used in academia and industry for circuitís education, electronic schematic design and SPICE simulation.
