Admission Committee

The Admission Process is a matter of significance as it is vital to the reputation of the college. Selecting the right students and giving equal opportunities to all without any discrimination are the two main objectives of this committee. A separate committee is formed at the end of every academic year to look after the admission of the students for the subsequent year. The Committee guides and counsels the students to choose the right course of study. Details about the members of the Admission Committee is given below..

Admission Criteria
Admission to DSCW is simple:-

1. The candidate must qualify the cut off percentage declared for the admission to a respective course. A general category candidate must also qualify the additional criteria, if any.

2. The Candidate who qualifies as above is required to fill up and submit the admission form attached with the College Prospectus along with the following original certificates and a self-attested copy of each:

a) The Certificate of the last qualifying examination (class XII) issued by the Board or the University and/or provisional School/College Leaving Certificate in case the original certificate has not been issued by the Board or the University.

b) Marks sheet of the last qualifying examination passed (class XII).

c) Certificate of Secondary School Examination/Matric as the proof of the Date of Birth.

d) Character Certificate from the School/College last attended (recent).

e) Proof of the last examination in Punjabi Language passed.

f) Two recent self attested Passport size photographs.

g) Admission slip issued by the Panjab University in the case of foreign students, J&K migrants & children/widows of the armed forces personnel.

h) Caste Certificate (in the name of the candidate) in case of SC/ST/OBC candidate (two copies)

i) Disability certificate in case of Persons with disabilities (PWD) candidate.

j) Transfer Certificate from the school/college as well as Migration Certificate from the Board/University are required from those students who have passed SSSCE from the outside Punjab.

3. The Candidate is also required to fill up and submit University Enrolment form along with admission form (to be provided at the time of admission)

4. A Selected Candidate is required to collect the fee slip from the office and deposit all fees by the due date in the office. Fees is payable in the office at the college premises by 1.00 p.m.

Compliance with the above requirements does not necessarily ensure admission to the College. All the admissions are provisional and subject to approval of the Panjab University on the submission of University Enrolment form.

Any candidate seeking admission on false attestation/forged certificate in respect of age, caste, subject and/or percentage of marks etc. will be debarred from attending any course in the university or its colleges for next five years and in addition, a criminal case under relevant section of IPC (viz 470, 471, 474 etc.) will be registered against her to subject her to requisite criminal proceeding.


SPECIAL NOTE:-

1.No fee is refundable after the commencement of programme.

2.Discipline and Code of Conduct:- The College ensures safety, security and exciting learning and living environment with respect and regard to the students, faculty and staff.

Anti Ragging Policy:- As per Indian Law, ragging is a punishable offence, leading to expulsion, fine and other punishments.
